Solid phase extraction minimizes matrix interferences and ion suppression, while enabling automation. Excellent linearity of quantification (R2 > 0.99) was obtained in the range of 5 to 100 ng/mL, with run times of only 5 min, and day-to-day precision was well below 10%. The limits of detection (LOD) and limits of quantification (LOQ) were 2 ng/mL and 3 ng/mL respectively, in serum.
