The system is based on a compact, rugged spectrometer with a splash-proof housing and permanently aligned optics that make it suitable for the toughest process environment, allowing OEMs to create unique, custom integrations and applications, according to their needs. The IRcube can be used as a UHV-chamber coupling module, reflectance module, or gas analyzer.

Secure computer interfacing via standard Ethernet, using TCP/IP protocol and an embedded HTML server, enhances IRcube's connectivity and mobility.

As a UHV-chamber coupling module, a parallel exit beam from IRcube can be used to couple to an external cryostat or UHV-chamber, enabling IRRAS and transmission measurements. With adaptable focal length optics tailored to specific needs, IRcube can be used for a variety of applications in reflectance mode, such as determination of layer thickness on metals or semiconductors (e.g. epitaxial thickness, BPSG, diamond layers), identification of minerals, ceramics etc.

The IRcube is also available as an ex-proof, ATEX rated version, complying to the following standards:
